How I work

A clear process, no surprises.

A fixed quote and a stage-by-stage timeline before we start, so you always know where things stand.

01

Discover

We talk through what the site has to do, who it's for and what counts as success.

02

Design & build

Layouts first, then the build — on staging, where you can watch it come together.

03

Test & optimise

Real devices, real browsers. Speed, forms, search basics and accessibility checked.

04

Launch & support

Go live, then a handover you can actually use — and a care plan if you want one.

FAQ

Straight answers.

The questions that come up on almost every enquiry.

I plan, build, test and launch websites directly for the client, with no agency in between. On most projects that covers the sitemap and layouts, the theme code, the CMS setup, the content load, the handover training and whatever support you want afterwards.

You talk to the person doing the work. There is no account manager relaying your feedback, so answers come back the same day and small changes happen without a change-request process. Overheads are lower as well, which shows up in the quote.

Look at recent work and see whether the style fits yours. Read what past clients say about communication, not just the design. Then ask how they work: what the stages are, how long each takes, and exactly what the price covers. Anyone worth hiring will answer all of that before you commit.

It depends on scope. A brochure site on a custom theme starts at ₹8,000, a larger business site with custom layouts and a blog from ₹15,000, and a WooCommerce or Shopify store from ₹30,000. Bigger builds cost more. Either way you get a fixed, itemised quote before anything starts.

Per project, not per hour. Send me a short brief and I will come back with one fixed price for the whole build, so your budget is settled on day one. Anything outside that scope is quoted separately and only started once you have approved it in writing.

Usually split in two: 50% to begin, and 50% once the site is signed off on the staging server and ready to go live. Longer projects are broken into stage payments instead, agreed before we start.

A brochure site is normally two to four weeks. Larger builds and stores run four to eight weeks, sometimes longer. The biggest variable is how quickly content and feedback come back, and you get a stage-by-stage timeline before the first invoice.

Nothing here is a deal breaker, but three things make the start much faster. Branding – any brand guidelines you have, or simply the logo as an SVG. Images – your own photo library if there is one, otherwise we can source stock. Content – a page-by-page plan of what goes where. If the words are not written yet we build with dummy text and drop the real copy in later.

Yes. Bangalore is home and I meet local clients in person when it helps, but most work is remote – across India, and with clients in the UK, USA, Canada, UAE and Singapore. Shared staging links, scheduled calls and written updates mean the distance makes no practical difference.

Yes, and a good share of my work is exactly that: white-label builds for agencies and technical cover for in-house marketing teams. Overflow development, custom functionality, troubleshooting, integrations and ongoing support. I can slot into your process and tools, or run the technical side end to end.

Yes. Improving an inherited site is routine work – speed problems, broken mobile layouts, plugin conflicts, custom functionality, third-party integrations, page-builder edits and general maintenance. You do not have to rebuild to fix what is wrong.

Yes, and often. Your content comes across, your URLs are mapped with proper 301 redirects so the rankings you have built up are not lost, and you end up on a cleaner, faster base that is easier to add to later.

More common than you would think, and yes. I will audit what exists, tell you plainly what is worth keeping and what is not, and then either finish it properly or rebuild it. You get the honest assessment and the cost first, before committing to either.

Yes. Slow WordPress almost always comes down to one of five things: too many plugins, unoptimised images, no caching, a bloated database, or underpowered hosting. I measure first and fix the one that is actually costing you rather than guessing. Core Web Vitals work can be booked on its own.

Yes. Clean markup, a sensible heading structure, real titles and meta descriptions, an XML sitemap, schema where it earns its place and fast Core Web Vitals are part of the build, not an upsell. Images ship as WebP or SVG, and caching is configured before launch.

Yes. Product and category templates, checkout flow, payment gateways such as Razorpay, PayU and Stripe, shipping and tax rules, stock handling, and performance tuning for large catalogues. Shopify or Magento instead if those suit you better. Training handover is included so you can run the store yourself.

Yes. I build custom blocks and set up patterns and reusable blocks so your team can edit pages without breaking the layout. Where tighter control suits the project better, ACF flexible content gives the same freedom inside safer limits.

Yes. If your site already runs on Elementor, WPBakery or Divi I am happy to work inside it, and for a team that changes layouts weekly a builder earns its keep. For new builds I usually prefer a custom-coded theme – lighter, faster and cheaper to maintain. We can weigh up which fits your situation.

WordPress for most projects: open source, no yearly licence, and straightforward for a non-technical team to run. I also work in Drupal, Joomla and Shopify, and build custom applications in Laravel or CodeIgniter when a CMS is the wrong tool. For front-end-heavy work, React, Vue and Next.js.

I do not resell hosting, so there is no markup and no lock-in – the account stays in your name. I will recommend a host that matches the site and set the whole thing up for you, whether that is managed WordPress hosting or a cloud server. The cheapest shared plan is usually a false economy.

Yes. Pages are built to be edited, not locked down. Handover includes a walkthrough of changing text, images and pages, plus a short written guide to refer back to.

Yes. Monthly care plans cover core, theme and plugin updates, security monitoring, backups, uptime and speed checks, and priority support for small changes. You can also book development time as and when you need it without taking a plan.

The site is yours – hosting account, domain, logins and code, all in your name. Take a care plan if you want it looked after, or take everything and go. Nothing is ever held hostage.
