Freelance WordPress Developer Across Tamil Nadu

Fifteen cities, and what the brief actually looks like in each of them.

I am a freelance WordPress developer working with businesses across Tamil Nadu – WooCommerce and Shopify stores, redesigns, and the support afterwards. Remotely, directly with you, at a fixed price agreed before anything starts.

Overview

One developer, fifteen cities

Tamil Nadu is not one market, and the differences between its cities are bigger than the distances suggest. A knitwear exporter in Tiruppur, a pump manufacturer in Coimbatore, a hospital group in Vellore and a silk trader in Kanchipuram want genuinely different things from a website.

So rather than one page claiming to serve the whole state identically, there is a page per city below, each written for the kind of business that city actually has. If your city is not listed, the nearest one is still the closest read – and the work is the same either way.

How it runs does not change by city: directly with me, a written scope and a fixed price before anything starts, a staging link from early on, and a training handover at the end so your own team can run the site. No agency layer, no account manager.

And to be plain about the geography: I am one freelancer, based in Bangalore. I do not have an office in any Tamil Nadu city, none of these pages claims one, and the structured data on each says the same. Projects run remotely, which for most of the state is the practical arrangement rather than a compromise.

What I offer

What I build for Tamil Nadu businesses

01

WordPress development

Custom WordPress sites built to the requirements you actually have, rather than a bought theme bent until it roughly fits.

The site does what the business needs, instead of the business working around a template.

02

Website design & development

Design and build together, so what is drawn is what gets shipped and nothing is lost in a handover between two suppliers.

One person accountable for how it looks and whether it works.

03

E-commerce development

WooCommerce and Shopify stores with real product data, tax and shipping rules, and a checkout that has been tested with live payments.

A store you can run yourself rather than ring someone about.

04

Website redesign

Rebuilding an existing site without losing the rankings and the URLs it already has. Redirects mapped before anything goes live.

A better site that keeps the traffic the old one earned.

05

Landing pages

Single pages built for one campaign and one action, with the tracking wired in before launch rather than after.

You can tell what the spend did.

06

Maintenance & support

Updates, backups and monitoring on a schedule, so problems are found before a customer finds them.

The site stays current without you having to remember it.

Key benefits

Why work with a freelance developer

Not an agency, not a marketplace. One developer, working directly with you, accountable for the result.

You talk to the developer

No account manager and no ticket queue. The person who writes the code is the person who answers the question, which is why answers are usually the same day.

Built for what you need

The build follows your requirements rather than a package. If something on a standard list is no use to you, it does not get built and you do not pay for it.

Mobile first, not mobile last

Most traffic to a Tamil Nadu business arrives on a phone. The small screen is designed first and the desktop follows, rather than the other way round.

SEO structure from the start

Headings, URLs, metadata, internal links and technical SEO handled during the build, not bolted on by someone else afterwards.

Performance treated as a feature

Core Web Vitals, image handling and caching are part of the work. A site that takes six seconds on mobile data has already lost the visitor.

Support after launch

Launch is not the end of the contract. Ongoing maintenance is available, and so is simply being reachable when something needs changing.

Who this is for

Who I work with across Tamil Nadu

The same briefs recur across the state, weighted differently in each city.

Manufacturing & engineering

Product and specification content written for a technical buyer, with documents that can actually be found and enquiries that reach an engineer.

Exporters & B2B

Sites read by overseas buyers: credible, specific, fast from outside India, and clear about capability rather than adjectives.

Retail & e-commerce

Stores that handle real stock, variants and payments, and that your own staff can operate on a busy day.

Hospitals, clinics & education

Services, departments, courses and admissions as structured content staff keep current themselves.

Hotels & tourism

Rooms, rates and enquiry routes that work on a phone, for visitors deciding between two tabs.

Professional & local services

A small, fast, honest site that explains what you do and makes contacting you trivial.

Where I work

How working across the state actually works

Nearly every Tamil Nadu project runs remotely: calls, email, and a staging URL you can open whenever you like. That is not a lesser service – you see progress continuously instead of at scheduled reveals, and your colleagues can look at it from wherever they are, including a buyer abroad.

Where travel genuinely earns its cost I will come: a kickoff for a large build, or a handover session with the team who will maintain the site. For Hosur, which is closer to Bangalore than much of Bangalore is, that is straightforward.

Work also runs outside the state – Bangalore, India, Canada, UK, USA, Dubai, Singapore – on the same terms. Bangalore has its own set of area pages if you are there rather than here.

Working with Tamil Nadu

Projects run remotely, which for Tamil Nadu is the practical arrangement rather than a compromise.

Remote by default

Most projects run over calls, email and a shared staging link. Nobody has to cross the city for a status update.

Same time zone

Questions asked during your working day get answered during it, rather than overnight.

Beyond Bangalore

Work also runs across India and overseas - Chennai, India, Canada, UK, USA, Dubai, Singapore.

Cities

Tamil Nadu cities I work with

A page each, written for the kind of business that city actually has. Pick the nearest one.

Industries

What tends to be needed, by business type

Across the state rather than by city. These are the kinds of brief I take, not a client list.

Manufacturing

Typically needs: Specifications and documents a technical buyer can find.

How I help: Structured product data, indexed documents, trade pricing and quote flows.

Textiles & garments

Typically needs: Catalogues and buyer-facing credibility, often for export.

How I help: Range catalogues, enquiry-led selling, fast pages for overseas visitors.

Retail & e-commerce

Typically needs: A store the team can actually run.

How I help: Shopify or WooCommerce, chosen on how you operate rather than on fashion.

Healthcare & education

Typically needs: Services, departments and admissions kept current.

How I help: Structured content with simple editing and routed enquiry forms.

Hotels & tourism

Typically needs: Rooms and rates found fast on a phone.

How I help: Light mobile-first pages, clear rates, direct enquiry routes.

Professional services

Typically needs: Credibility and an easy first contact.

How I help: Small fast sites with proper metadata and no builder bloat.

How I work

How a project runs

The same six steps on every project, so you always know what happens next and what you get at the end of it.

01

Discovery

We talk through what the site has to do, who it is for and what is wrong with the current one if there is one.

You get: A written scope and a fixed price.

Why it matters: You know what you are buying before any money moves.

02

Planning

Sitemap, page structure, URL plan and - on a rebuild - the redirect map from the old site to the new one.

You get: A page-by-page plan.

Why it matters: The structure is agreed before anything is built, which is far cheaper than changing it later.

03

Design

Design of the key templates, on real content rather than placeholder text.

You get: Designs you can react to.

Why it matters: You see the actual thing before it is coded.

04

Development

The build, on a staging URL you can open at any point.

You get: A link that is always current.

Why it matters: No waiting until the end to find out what it looks like.

05

Testing & SEO

Cross-browser and cross-device testing, forms, speed, and the SEO basics checked against the plan.

You get: A tested site and the test results.

Why it matters: Problems get found before customers do.

06

Launch & support

Going live, with redirects in place, analytics connected, and a handover so you can run it.

You get: A live site and training.

Why it matters: You are not dependent on me to change a phone number.

Technology

What I build with

Chosen because it suits the job, not because it is the newest thing available.

SEO & performance

Found by people searching in Tamil Nadu

Search in Tamil Nadu is city-level, not state-level. Someone looking for a developer searches with their own city attached, or with nothing attached and lets Google infer it – almost nobody searches for the state.

Which is why the fifteen city pages exist and why this one links to all of them: a page that genuinely addresses one city beats a page listing fifteen. The rest is local SEO groundwork and pages that load quickly.

  • Page titles and meta descriptions written per page, not generated
  • Headings in a real order, one H1 per page
  • Clean URLs, and redirects mapped on any rebuild
  • Schema markup so search engines can read the page properly
  • Local SEO groundwork: Google Business Profile, consistent details, local landing pages
  • XML sitemap and Search Console set up and verified
  • Internal links that connect related pages instead of leaving them orphaned
  • Core Web Vitals treated as part of the build, not a later fix
AI search

Readable by AI search as well

AI assistants answer by reading pages, so the things that make a page understandable to a person – a clear question, a direct answer under it, structured data saying what the page is – are the same things that make it usable to them.

I build pages that way. What I will not do is promise that your business will appear in any AI answer: no one controls that, and anyone selling it is selling something they cannot deliver.

  • Questions as headings, answered directly underneath
  • FAQ content marked up as FAQPage
  • Clear service and area information rather than marketing adjectives
  • Facts stated plainly enough to be quoted accurately
  • Structured data that matches what is on the page
  • No invented statistics, reviews or claims for a machine to repeat
Why me

Why work with me

Four honest reasons, and no awards.

01

Twelve years of it

Agency work first, then freelance, across more than a hundred sites. Whatever you bring is probably something I have shipped before – and if it genuinely is not, I will say so rather than learn on your budget.

02

You talk to the developer

No account manager and no ticket queue. Replies land within one working day, from the person doing the work.

03

Fixed price, agreed first

The scope and the price are written down before the project starts. If the scope changes, we agree the change; the invoice does not simply grow.

04

I will tell you what not to build

The cheapest part of a project is the feature talked out of it in week one. Expect to be argued with occasionally.

FAQ

Tamil Nadu: common questions

There are detailed pages for Chennai, Coimbatore, Madurai, Trichy, Salem, Tiruppur, Erode, Tirunelveli, Vellore, Thoothukudi, Thanjavur, Dindigul, Hosur, Nagercoil and Kanchipuram. If your city is not listed the work is the same – just get in touch.

No. I am one freelance developer based in Bangalore who works with businesses across Tamil Nadu. None of these pages claims a local office, and the structured data on each one says the same.

Yes, and that is how nearly all of it runs. You get a staging link from early in the build, so you can see progress whenever you like rather than waiting for a scheduled demo.

For a large build or a handover, yes, where the travel earns its cost. For routine progress a call and a staging URL does the job better than a day of travel on both sides.

Yes. Sites read by buyers outside India need to be specific about capability and fast to load from abroad, which is a different build from a consumer site – Tiruppur and Coimbatore in particular.

Mostly WordPress, including WooCommerce for stores, plus Shopify where that suits the business better. The choice follows the brief.

Yes. Maintenance covers updates, backups, uptime and security monitoring plus a set amount of content time monthly. It is optional, not a condition of the build.

Tell me what the site has to do, through the enquiry form or on WhatsApp. I reply within one working day and the first conversation costs nothing.
